Notes for Richard K. PIMER
Richard K. Pimer, 81, husband of Elizabeth G. (Bringhurst) Pimer, of the Colonade of Schwenksville, formerly of Campbell Road, Pennsburg, died December 18, 2006, at his home. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Arthur K. and Helen (Barnes) Pimer. He was employed as a foreman and mechanic at M&S Vending, Lansdale, for 25 years retiring in 1987. He was a veteran of the Navy, serving on the U.S.S. Massachusetts, a now retired vessel commissioned as a museum, and as a past seaman he had attended the yearly reunions. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5954, Red Hill, and was an avid woodworker.
Survivors: Wife; son, Steven K. Pimer and wife Colleen of Lincoln University; daughter, Debra P. Shinn of Barto; sisters, Patricia, wife of Gerold Litschi of Lansdale, Helen, wife of Earl Simmons of Millerton; grandchildren, Meghan Lupotsky, Jeremy Pimer; nieces, nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, John K. Pimer.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville. Call 10-11 a.m. Saturday.
