Notes for Richard L. GROSSMAN
Richard L. Grossman, 77, of Parkesburg, passed away on January 25, 2006 at Brandywine Hospital in Coatesville.
He was the widower of the late Doris J. Genn Grossman who died in 1987.
Mr. Grossman was the son of the late Ferree C. and Mary R. Paxson Grossman.
An area resident all his life, Richard was a 1945 graduate of the Coatesville High School.
He was a farmer all of his life and also drove school bus for 47 years with Krapf's Bus Co.
He was a member of the Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church and also held membership with the Keystone Lodge #569 now part of the Brandywine Goddard, Lodge #383 FandAM of Coatesville, the Sadsbury Grange and the Odd Fellows.
Mr. Grossman is survived by three sons, Glenn R. Grossman, husband of Patricia of Cave Creek, AZ, Andrew J. Grossman, husband of Nancy, of Williamsburg, VA, and Thomas Ferree Grosssman, companion of Vickie Shelhamer, of Parkesburg; and one daughter, Molly J. Grossman, companion of Judy Conner, of Milford, PA.
He is survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and by a brother, Ferree C. Grossman of Elizabethtown and was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Cox.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, PA with the Rev.
William Kelly presiding followed by interment at the Upper Octorara Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening, January 30, 2006 from 7 PM until 9 PM and on Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of service.
Masonic services will be conducted by the Brandywine Goddard, Lodge #383 FandAM of Coatesville at 8:45PM on Monday evening.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Richards name to the American Diabetes Association, Southeastern PA Office, One Plymouth Meeting, Suite 520, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462.
