Notes for Marion LESSER

Marion Pugh, 91, of Darby, a former children’s librarian, died March 4 at Vitas Hospice in Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby.
Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Pugh grew up in Aldan and was a resident of Darby for more than 71 years. She was a graduate of Upper Darby High School.
Mrs. Pugh was the children’s librarian at Darby Library for more than 20 years.
She was devoted to her family and was known as a person her friends could depend upon.
Mrs. Pugh was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Darby, where she served in the vestry and the altar guild and sang in the choir. She was active in her community.
For 62 years, Mrs. Pugh was married to Harold W. Pugh, who died in 2000. She was the mother of Thomas Pugh, who died in 1949. Mrs. Pugh was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Torrens Lesser. She was the sister of the late June Graham.
Survivors: Sons, Harold W. Pugh Jr. of Fort Myers, Fla., Jay Scott Pugh of Darby; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Marvil Funeral Home, 1110 Main St., Darby.
Visitation: 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial: Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill section of Upper Darby.
