John Porter Capelle, silversmith. Son of Marcus Eugene Capelle and first wife, Eliza Porter. Grandson of Dr. Joseph Phillipe Eugene Capelle, Frenchman and surgeon in Revolutionary War with Lafayette. Married Mary Jane Robbins. Relocated from Delaware to St. Louis in mid 1880's, along with her family.
