Notes for Nancy Correy SMITH
Nancy Correy Wood, 90, who for years operated a showcase farm in Montgomery County, died Saturday at her home in Chestnut Hill. She formerly lived in Horsham Township and Switzerland.
A graduate of the Agnes Irwin School, she married Joseph Wood Jr. in 1915. For the next 50 years, she was active in the management of Jebelwadi, the Horsham Road farm where they made their home in the United States. The couple also lived in Switzerland, where Mrs. Wood joined her husband in the pursuit of his hobby, mountain climbing.
Mrs. Wood was a member of the Acorn Club and the International Society of Colonial Dames.
Survivors: her daughters, Nancy Cooper Wood, Hope Cooper Patterson and Polly N. Victor; four grandchildren; two great-grandsons, and a brother, Cooper Smith.
Services: memorial 2 p.m. Friday, Church of the Messiah, Gwynedd.
