Notes for James L. PYLE
James L. "Jim" Pyle
Age 82 of Unionville, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2006, at Riverside Transitional Care Center in Wilmington, DE of respiratory failure.
Born on December 2, 1923 at home in Willowdale, PA, he was the son of the late James Franklin Pyle and Mary Jane Quigley Pyle. After high school, Jim went on to serve in the U.S. Army with General Eisenhower in Europe during World War II. After the war, he returned to the family Floriculture business and was then self-employed for 40 plus years in horticulture. Over the years Jim was proudly a member of the Po-Mar-Lin Fire Company, The American Legion, The National Rifle Association, numerous trade and professional associations, and various service organizations including the Masonic Order and Consistory. He was a beloved member of the local community and will be missed.
James L. Pyle is survived by 2 sons, James Jeffrey Pyle and Douglas Loomis Pyle; and by 4 grandchildren, Tawni Pyle, James Pyle, Murphy Burns, and Paul-Michael Spicer.
His funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, October 7, 2006, at Willowdale Chapel, 675 Unionville Rd. (Route 82), Willowdale, PA. Family and friends may call from 9-10 am at the church.
Interment will be in Union Hill Cemetery.
