Notes for Elizabeth B. HINES
Elizabeth B. Smedley, wife of John F. Smedley, died last Monday evening at her home, 404 Pennsylvania Avenue. She was seventy-seven years old and had been in failing health for some time.
Mrs. Smedley was born in Philadelphia. However, she had been a resident of Downingtown for the past eighteen years and was a member of the Methodist Church here.
She is survived by her husband and the following children: Anna B., wife of Hary H. Clark, of Cochranville; Ethel M., wife of Gilbert Romberger, of Highspire, Pa; Della B. wife of Felix DeParent, of Paoli; William H., of Downingtown. Also the following sisters: Mrs. Bogle, of R.D. 2, West Chester; Mrs. Lena Green, of West Chester; Mrs. Bessie Waltman, of Paoli. In addition, there are thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to call at the Towson Funeral Home, Thursday evening. The funeral will be held Friday, October 3rd, at 2:30 p.m. and interment will be made in the Grove Methodist Church Cemetery.
