Notes for Emily Ada PYLE
Emily A. Pullen, 88, of West Chester, passed away peacefully Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, at her home.
Born in Boothwyn on April 22, 1926, she was the daughter of the late William W. Pyle and the late Lillie Myrtle Forward Pyle.
She was the wife of Lindberg A. Pullen, who passed away in 2005 after sharing 56 wonderful years of marriage.
Emily had worked for DuPont in Wilmington, Del., for eight years, Schramm Inc. in West Chester for three years, the YWCA in West Chester for two years, and Dr. Rohrmayer for 12 years.
One of her many passions included crocheting. She also enjoyed knitting and many types of crafts. Emily could accomplish any type of design or pattern that was given to her.
She was a member of Faith Community Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, Emily is predeceased by a brother, Russell H Pyle; daughter-in-law, Cathy L Pullen; and an infant son.
Emily is survived by two sons, Bruce A. Pullen Sr. of West Chester and Barry L Pullen, husband of Donna, of Sugar Hill, Ga.; three brothers, George W. Pyle, Albert H. Pyle, and Gilbert E. Pyle; and a sister, Janet M. Pyle Bickings; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the Maclean-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 339 W. Kings Highway, Coatesville.
Interment will be in Chester Bethel United Methodist Cemetery, 2619 Foulk Road, Wilmington, Del., at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
