SUDDEN DEATH - Simeon Lord, well known to the residents of this section of our county, died on Monday last, at his residence in Kingsessing. He had just partaken of a hearty breakfast, and was in the act of adjusting his clothing preparatory to a trip from home, when he fell to the floor, and expired instantly, and without a struggle. Mr. Lord was for many years largely engaged in the manufacture of cotton and woolen goods, in this vicinity. He was a man of warm feelings and generous impulses, and consequently had an extended circle of friends, both here and elsewhere, who will reqret his sudden demise; but by none will his memory be held more sacred than by those who have been in his employ, to whose interests and welfare he was always devoted throughout all the vicissitudes of a long business career. His death is attributed to apoplexy.

TWELVE CHILDREN DOCUMENTED SO FAR
The 1850 U.S. Census lists eight of their children. Mary A., John - (have not found where he is buried), Martha, Sarah, Simeon, Adaline, William R. or (William Rufus Bicklen Lord) and Josephine Lord. Another child Charles Lane Lord was born in December of 1848 and died in 1849 at 3 months. His birth would be after his brother W.R.B. Lord was born and was in between census years, thus was not listed in a U.S. Census. The last child born of theirs, Eoline, had not been born at the time of the 1850 census.

(Family notes say 3 more were born in Pennsylvania and died in infancy. They have been found.
