Dr. William H. Easton

Aid of Safety Research
Dr. William Hastings Easton, vice president of Sheldon, Morse, Hutchins and Easton, public relations counsel, and of the Safety Research Institute, 420 Lexington Avenue, died on Saturday in him home at 36-33 212th St., Bayside, Queens, after a long illness, at the age of 65. Born in Knoxville, Tenn., he was educated in Dresden, Germany, and at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a B.S. in 1902, and a Ph.D. in 1903.
From 1908 to 1931, Dr. Easton was with Westinghouse Electric and Manufacturing Company and from 1922 to 1926 was manager of radio station WJZ, then operated by Westinghouse. In 1931, he established his publiciaty firm.
Dr. Easton leaves a widow, Mrs. Helen Lloyd Easton, a son William H. Jr., two daugthers, Elizabeth L.
Easton and Mrs. John E. Bowers, and a brother the Rev. Burton Scott Easton of the General Theological Seminary.
(note: in 1922, WJZ was located in Newark, NJ.)
