Notes for Marto Henderson COX
Marto C. Atkinson, 74, of North St., Helena, Ohio, formerly of Hudson, Ohio, died Monday morning in Fremont, Ohio.
She was born on Dec. 11, 1922, in Phoenixville, Pa., to Charles and Marto (Henderson) Cox. On March 15, 1941, she married Will R. Atkinson in Pennsylvania; he died on Dec. 23, 1982. She was a former member of Christ Church in Hudson.
Surviving are a daughter, Marto Cox (Bunny) Atkinson of Helena; and brothers, William Cox of Grosse Pointe, Mich., and Charles H. Cox of Paoli, Pa. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Will R. Atkinson III.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 22, at 11 a.m. at the Nopper-Veh Funeral Home, 319 W. Madison St., Gibsonburg, Ohio. Friends will be received for one hour before the service. An additional memorial service will be held in Hudson, Ohio at a later date. Interment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Chapel Cemetery, Valley Forge, Pa.
