Notes for Ronald D. LUKENS
Ronald DeHaven Lukens, a painter and decorator, died Sunday in Harvey Cedars, N.J. He was 49.
Mr. Lukens, of Lower Salford Township, worked for Montgomery Hospital in Norristown for 5 years. Previously, he worked for the former Sacred Heart Hospital and was self-employed for 20 years prior to that. He was a member of Sanctuary United Methodist Church, North Wales.
Mr. Lukens enjoyed cooking, fishing and traveling.
He attended North Penn High School and Elon College in North Carolina.
Born June 11, 1951 in Norristown, he was son of Paul DeHaven and Carey (Hobbs) Lukens of North Wales.
Surviving with his parents are his wife, Katharine (Looby) Lukens; three brothers, Gary D. of North Wales, Jeffrey H. and Rande P., both of Harleysville; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Sanctuary United Methodist Church, Hancock Street and Prospect Avenue, North Wales, with the Rev. Harold E. Burkett officiating.
Interment will be private.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the R.L. Williams Jr. Funeral Home Inc., Skippack Pike at Cedars Road, Skippack, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
