Notes for Oscar H. Jr. DARLINGTON

Oscar H. Darlington Jr., 75, husband of Alice M. (Kersbergen) Darlington, of North Coventry, died suddenly Thursday morning, January 15, 2009, in the Lehigh Valley Medical Center.
Born in Pottstown, he was a son of the late Oscar H. Darlington Sr., and the late Frances (Wagner) Darlington.
He graduated from the former North Coventry High School. He then graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1955.
Mr. Darlington received his master's degree in electrical engineering from the Lehigh University. He worked as an electrical engineer until his retirement.
Mr. Darlington was a loving husband and father. He spent his retirement years tending to his farm and visiting the Poconos. He enjoyed all of those experiences with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of 53 years, Mr. Darlington is survived by five children, Wendy K., wife of Mark Egolf, of Pottstown, Karen S., wife of Rev. William H. Neitz, of North Coventry, Oscar H. Darlington III, husband of Lori (Garber) Darlington, of Douglassville, Teryl L., wife of William Mullan, of North Coventry, Kevin A., husband of Kimberley (Borzillo) Darlington, of North Coventry; one sister, Dorla F. Johnson, of Virginia.; one brother, Kent H. Darlington, of S.C.; 18 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Darlington was predeceased by one brother; John P. Darlington, one daughter; Sharen L. Darlington, and one granddaughter; Arie Ann Darlington.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington St., Royersford, on Tuesday morning, January 20, 2009 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. William H. Neitz.
Burial will be in the Parker Ford Baptist Church Cemetery, next to his daughter and granddaughter. Friends will be received from 7-8:30 p.m., Monday evening or from 9-10 a.m., Tuesday morning at the funeral home.
