Notes for Mary Anna PALMER

Mary Anna Palmer Balderston Trimble, 94, of the Downingtown area since 1939, died on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, while in the presence of family and friends.
She was the wife of the late George M. Trimble Jr. and daughter of the late Charles W. and Anna Palmer.
Mary Anna was a birthright member and active in many committees throughout her life at Middletown Friends Meeting.
She was also a past president of the following: Women's Club and Garden Club of Uwchlan; Chester Valley Community Nurses; Northern Chester County Community Nursing Service; The Uwchlan Conservation Trust; and PA Horticultural Society of America, through which she was accredited as a flower show judge and served as chairperson of the Judge's Council with the National Council of Gardening Club.
Mary Anna is survived by her three children, William H. Balderston of Tioga County, C. Christopher Balderston of Downingtown and Jane Balderston of Reno, Nev.; two grandchildren, Pythagoras C. Watson and Meredith B. Muratori; and two great-grandchildren, Kodiak and Sidonia Muratori; numerous nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law, Robert P. Balderston.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Balderston; and sister, Eva P. Stratton.
Relatives and friends are invited to share in Mary Anna's memorial meeting at the Middletown Friends Meeting, 435 North Middletown Road (Route 352) in Lima at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Middletown Friends Meeting, c/o Joseph Stratton Treasurer, 1631 E. Street Road, Glen Mills, PA 19342; or the Westtown School Lake Fund, P.O. Box 1799, Westtown PA 19395.
