Gilbert Elwood Twaddell
Age 72, of Earleville, MD, died on Saturday, July 11, 2009, at home.
He was born on October 30, 1936 in Wilmington, DE to Myrtle Edith Hanby Twaddell and Harry Gilbert Twaddell. He was raised in the Boothwyn, PA area and graduated from Chichester High in 1955. He then enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Germany from 1959 to 1963. After leaving the army he worked as a mechanic at several firms, most recently at Diamond Materials in Wilmington, DE. In his free time he enjoyed trains, model trains, collecting arrowheads, fishing and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, Ronald A. Twaddell. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Gail Ellen Twaddell of Earleville, MD; daughter, Jennifer L. West and husband Shane of Earleville, MD; son, Steven L. Twaddell of Earleville, MD; grandchildren, Alaina, Natalie and Trevor West all of Earleville, MD and sister Janet M. Twaddell of Wilmington, DE.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 15, at 11 am, at Gee Funeral Home, 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD where the family will receive friends after 10 am. Interment will be private.
