Notes for Dorothy E. BARNES
Dorothy E. Davison of Coatesville Dorothy E. Davison, 91, of Coatesville, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016, at Simpson Meadows in Downingtown. She was the loving wife of the late James J. Davison, who passed away in 2006. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Vianna Hall Barnes. She was a 1942 graduate of Scott High School in Coatesville. Following graduation, she went to work at Lukens Steel Company where she was employed as a secretary for 40 years. It was there that she met her husband, Jim. Dorothy was a very active member of Olivet United Methodist Church and enjoyed singing hymns and attending Bible study. She and Jim loved traveling, and took many trips together. Mrs. Davison is survived by her nephew, Larry (Annette) Dague; niece, Patricia (James R.) Price; grandnephews and nieces, Philip (Francine) Dague, Jeffrey (Chris) Dague, Laura (Scott) Britt, James Price, Melissa (James) Mayer; and various great-grandnephews and nieces. She is also survived by her step-son, Robert J. (Helen) Davison of Midlothian, VA, and two step-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Chester Barnes, and sister, Helen Dague. A graveside service will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, at Hephzibah Cemetery, 2237 Strasburg Road, East Fallowfield.
