George McEntee was born the son of William Aloysius and Mary E. McCarty McEntee in Philadelphia, PA USA in 1915. He was the oldest of of five children. His siblings were: Evelyn, Charlotte, Thelma and Claire McEntee. He married Julia "Jewel" Wasilsky and together they had one son Robert "Bobby" McEntee, who predeceased George in 1971. George was also predeceased by his sister Evelyn who died in 1966. He was survived by his wife Jewel, and sisters, Charlotte, Thelma and Claire.
