Notes for William T. BUCK

William T. Buck was the son of Wm.and Anna Buck. Although, was not actually a blood relative, his life runs a common thread through many sides of our family. He was the 2nd husband of Helen Carpenter Grosso Buck. He was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. Upon graduation, he taught engineering at Drexel University. In 1916 he founded The Buildings Manager Association and became its first president He managed the 1500 Walnut Street Building in Philadelphia, which was and still is the "Corner Stone" of the city of Philadelphia, among many other prominent office buildings. He employed some of the Grosso family, Carpenter family and the McEntee family. By all accounts, he was a kind man. He resided in Chester, PA with his third wife Helen. He was survived by his wife Helen Carpenter Grosso Buck, three step children, Vincent J. Grosso, Loretta Grosso Shaffer and Ernest Grosso. He also had four grandchildren; Lil Loretta Grosso, Vincent J. Grosso, Jr., Charlotte "Jill" Grosso and Nancy Grosso.
