Notes for Beatrice Martha TALLEY
Beatrice Martha Talley Trego, 71, of, Morgantown, died Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, at her home after a lengthy illness.
Born in Talleyville, Del., she was the daughter of the late Elihu and Mary (Wade) Talley.
She celebrated her 52nd wedding anniversary on April 7 to John L. Trego.
Beatrice was a homemaker most of her life but she also worked for a few years after her marriage as a secretary for a law office in Wilmington, Del., and then more recently she worked for about six years at Help Counseling in Downingtown and also worked as a bookkeeper in the family business.
She was a member of the Glenmoore United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school.
She enjoyed camping, square dancing, playing cards and bingo, sewing, and jigsaw puzzles.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are four children: Kenneth Andrew, married to Vicki (Laverty) Trego of Morgantown; Mary Beth, married to Lloyd Swarner of Wellsboro; Lisa C., married to Gary Hart of Morgantown; and Amy J., married to Richard Gherardi of Dingmans Ferry. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Trego of Blue Ball; three sisters, Arlene, married to Dan Hetrick of Glen Mills, Dale Talley, married to Sharhariar Rubini of Middletown, Del., and Nancy, married to Roger Brown of Elkton, Md.; and two brothers, Roger, married to Debbie Talley of Claymont, Del., and Terry Talley of Portsmouth, Va.
Preceding her in death was a son, Mark A. Trego, in December 1999; and a brother, Stanley Richard Talley.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 8, at 11 a.m. at the New Holland Church of the Nazarene, 428 Ranck Road, New Holland, with the Rev. Kenneth Mingledorff officiating.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, Aug. 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland, and on Friday at the church from 10 to 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Berks Visiting Nurse Association Hospice, 1170 Berkshire Blvd., Wyomissing, PA 19610.
