ALLENTOWN -- Monica Shay, 58, who was among five people shot in Douglass Township, Montgomery County, Saturday, has died.
According to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office, Monica Shay was pronounced dead at 3:07 a.m. Thursday in Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Monica Shay is the third of five people shot Saturday to die from her wounds. Her nephew, Joseph Shay, 43, with addresses in Yarmouth, Mass., and New York City, as well as 2-year-old Gregory Bosco, of Fall River, Mass., were both pronounced dead the night of the shooting.
Monica Shay's husband, Paul Shay, 64, and Kathryn Erdmann, 37, of Fall River, Mass., who is the mother of 2-year-old Gregory Bosco and the girlfriend of Joseph Shay, remain hospitalized.
The suspected killer, Mark Geisenheyner, died after a six-hour standoff with a police SWAT unit while holed up in a house in Trainer, Delaware County, on Monday.
