Notes for Miers Fisher WRIGHT
He graduated from the Naval Academy in June 1870 and served on board the "California", the "Narragansett", the " Worcester", the "St. Louis", and then onto the steamer "Enterprise" on an exploring expedition up the Amazon river. He became a lieutenant in May, 1880 and became the senior of a board of naval officers to visit and inspect all parts of the Panama Canal in January, 1885. He later served on the steamer "Baltimore."
