William M. Lamborn, a well-known business man of southern Chester County, died early this morning at his home in Avondale, after an illness of fie days with influenza. He was in his 52d year.

Mr. Lamborn was born in Ashland, Del., February 12, 1888, a son of the late Chandler and Emma Lamborn. He came to Avondale in 1912 and became a partner of the coal and lumber firm of Wood and Lamborn. Later he established an electrical business of his own, which he conducted successfully until his death. At one time he had a branch in West Chester and another in Rising Sun, Md.

He was a member of the Avondale Methodist Church and served as treasurer of the church for the past twenty years. He was a member of the Avondale Fire Company and the New London Lodge, No. 545, F.&.A.M.

For the past four years, Mr. Lamborn had been a member of the Avondale Borough Council, and took an active interest in all matters pertaining to the welfare of the community.

Surviving are his wife, Nettie Ewing Lamborn, and one daughter, Grace; also two brothers, Roy, of Lansdowne, and Ernest, of Richardson Park. A brother, Lester, died November 1, 1938.

Relatives and friends of the family, also New London Lodge, No. 545, F & A.M., are invited to attend the funeral without further notice from the Eastburn Funeral Home, Avondale, Pa., on Saturday, Sept. 23. Services at 2 p.m., D.S.T. Interment private. Friends may call at the parlors Friday evening 7 to 9 o'clock.
