Notes for William Brooke THOMAS

William was a flour manufacturer in Philly and a founder of the Corn Exchange Assn. and a member of the board of trade. During the Civil War he raised two companies at his own expense. He was a Col. in the 20th Regiment, PA Volunteers. He was also a General in the 4th Brigade, First Division, State Guard.
