Notes for John PRICE

R. C. Smedley's "History of the Underground Railroad" (pg. 175): "Large quantities of exquisitely clean and nicely mended clothing were frequently sent by the many descendants of John Price, a Dunkard minister belonging to an earlier generation. He and his wife were strongly opposed to slavery, and opposition to it became hereditary in the family. These friends, living in Pottstown, Lawrenceville, and a great portion of the region around, could at all times be relied upon for aid in any especial emergency."
