SARAH LIPPINCOTT O'NEILL, age 92, of Gladwynne, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 31, 2009. Sarah was the wife of the late Fairfax Leary, Jr. and mother of Sally, Michael and Brian. She is also survived by brother Hugh O'Neill, sister Polly Crawford and 4 grandchildren. Sarah was very active in support of the arts and historical monuments and held positions of great responsibility with the Philadelphia Museum of Art., Hospitality Philadelphia, of which she was a founder, and the National Parks Foundation with reference to Gunstan Hall, VA., home of the author of the Bill of Rights. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Museum of Art. A Memorial Service will be held 11 A.M., Friday, Jan. 8, at Beaumont of Bryn Mawr, 601 N. Ithan Ave. Arrangements are being handled by STUARD FUNERAL HOME, Ardmore (610)649-2446.
