Howard, George (1789-1846) ? of Maryland. Born in Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, Md., November 21, 1789. Son of John Eager Howard; son-in-law of Charles Carnan Ridgely; brother of Benjamin Chew Howard. Governor of Maryland, 1831-33. Episcopalian. Died near Woodstock, Howard County, Md., August 2, 1846. Interment at St. Paul's Cemetery, Baltimore, Md.
