Migrated from Sampson Co., NC to Davidson Co., TN. in the early 1790's with two other siblings. They were all married to Hays siblings from the same area, the other siblings were Bennett Blackman and Anne Blackman. James the fourth sibling, married to Elizabeth Ann Oates moved from Sampson Co., NC to Rutherford Co., Tenn.
