Rebecca Eliza McLean born August 16, 1811 in Clear Creek Township,Warren,OH. She died September 23, 1837. Her parents were The Honorable John McLean, Associate Justice United States Supreme Court for 31 years (famous for his dissenting opinion in the Dred Scott slavery case) and Rebecca Edwards. Augustus and Rebecca were married January 22, 1829 in Washington DC.
