Mrs. Mildred Livingston Evans Farrington of 389 Mountain Rd., Halifax, Va., died January 6, 2003 at the Woodview Nursing Home. She was born in Danville, Va. on July 6, 1929 and was 73 years old. She was the daughter of Mr. John Davis Evans and Mrs. Mary Peachie Easley Evans, and was married to James Woodworth Farrington. Mrs. Farrington is survived by one daughter, Canby F. Johnston of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; three sons, James W. Farrington of Chesapeake, Va., Stephen Todd Farrington, Tullahoma, Tenn. and John Evans Farrington of Halifax, Va.; one sister, Betsy E. Holt of Orange, Va.; two brothers John D. Evans Jr. of Richmond, Va. and Col. Robert Holt Evans of Halifax, Va.; and four granchildren. Services will be held Saturday, January 11, at 2 p.m. at St. Johns Episcopal Church with the Rev. David Booher conducting the service. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
