Notes for Lila P. PENNOCK

Lila Starkey, 83, of Dellroy, died early Saturday morning, Jan. 24, 2004, in Aultman Hospital with her family at her side.

She was born Dec. 23, 1920, in Minerva, O., daughter of the late Earl and Fern Custer Pennock.

Lila attended the Dellroy United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and work with her husband in the operation of Starkey?s Food Center in Dellroy from 1965 until their retirement in 1973. They moved to the Dellroy area in 1965 from Pattersonville.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Herman Starkey, whom she married on Aug. 27, 1949.

She is also survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ray Starkey of Dellroy and Paul and Martha Starkey of Wooster; one daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Jerry Crowl of New Baltimore, Mich.; a twin sister, Twila M. Becker of Oak Hill Manor, Louisville, O.; a half-brother, Stanley Pennock of Minerva; seven grandchildren, Brian, Dustin, Michelle, Shawn, Aaron, Kyle and Kelly; and five great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Eli, Dylan, Shelby and Emily.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home at Carrollton with Rev. Jack Lumley officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery at Minerva. Friends may call Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
