HALLOWELL
FREDERICK 'FRITZ' CRESSON JR., of Newtown Square died on Mon., Nov. 20, 2006 at the age of 79. Frederick died a sudden death at Paoli Hospital, Paoli PA. Beloved husband of Anna McCormick Hallowell for 47 years. Born in Bryn Mawr Hospital on April 14, 1927. He was the son of the late Frederick C. Hallowell Sr. and Gertrude Nelson Hallowell. Graduated from Haverford School and earning his Masters from M.I.T. in 1948. He was an Aeronautical Engineer at the Willow Grove Naval Air Station and for General Electric. Fritz loved trains. He was a member of several clubs including the Schuylkill Valley Model Railroad Club. He was helpful volunteer of the American Helicopter Museum in West Chester. Fritz enjoyed his involvement in the West Chester Coin Club. He was a lifetime member of the Franklin Institute. Surviving are his beloved wife, Anna McCormick Hallowell; son, Frederick Cresson Hallowell III; daughter-in-law, Nancy Kepler Hallowell; granddaughter, Melanie Lee Hallowell all of West Chester PA; daughter, Susan Fraley Hallowell; son-in-law, Joseph Lawrence; granddaughter, Kathryn Anna Lawrence; grandson William Robert Lawrence all of Boulder CO. Memorial Service will be held on Monday at 10 A.M., Nov. 27th at the Wasington Memorial Chapel (Rt. 23), Valley Forge Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the following would be appreciated: Schuylkill Valley Model Railroad Club, 400 S. Main St, Phoenixville PA 19460 and Friends of Animals, 777 Post Rd, Suite 205, Darien CT 06820.
