Notes for Betty Burnette MCCRACKEN
Betty Miller of West Chester Betty Miller, 92, of West Chester, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013. She was the wife of the late Brigadier General Edwin D. Miller, Sr., who died in 1984. Born in Canton, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Sanford B. and Telitha Burnett McCracken. She graduated from the University of North Carolina. Before she retired, she was the owner of the Colonial Motor Court in West Chester. She enjoyed spending time at her home at Fenwick Island, Del. She also liked reading, sewing and spending time with family and friends. Betty was an avid traveler who travelled to more than 20 countries with her husband, and later with myriad friends and family. Betty is survived by her son, Edwin Miller and wife, Sally of Newark, Del.; daughter, Sandra M. Cabott and husband, Harry of York, Pa.; five grandchildren, Melissa, Lennon, Michelle, Courtney, and Jayme; six great- grandchildren; and a sister, June DeSimone of Doylestown. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4th, at the Church of the Loving Shepherd, 1066 South New Street, West Chester, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Birmingham-Lafayette Cemetery.
