Notes for John DUTTON
Jonathan (Richard -3, Thomas -2, John -1) on November 12, 1792, purchased the old grist mill on Chester Creek which has originally been built by a Mr. Coburn in 1686 and rebuilt by Forest Dale in 1750. This mill later became known as Dutton's Mill. Dutton's Mill was left by Jonathan to his son John. In 1843 the mill was destroyed by a great flood but was rebuilt in 1844 and operated by John's son Jonathan. In 1880 after the death of this Jonathan, the old mill was left to his son George H. Dutton." "Doug Hall"
