Notes for James JEFFERIS

James Jefferis of E. Bradford, yeoman. August 19, 1745. November 17, 1745. B. 192. To eldest son James my plantation on opposite side of Brandywine in E. Bradford where I now dwell bought at three purcahses containing about 220 acres when of age. To younger son Emmor, my land bought at several purchases adjoining the piece where I dwell, about 266 acres after wifes decease. To daughter Abigail £100 at 20 or married. To John Carter my wifes son by her former husband my right to 200 acres surveyed to me in West Bradford adjoining Robert Wilsons and near the Great Valley. Provides for wife Elizabeth. Executors: wife and Thomas Worth. Witnesses: Wm. Kargin, Rebecca Coope, Christopher Hicks. [He lived at the Carter homestead on west side of creek.]
