Charles built a home called the Highlands on land along Wisconsin Ave. that his father Joseph gave to him. Currently it is the grounds of the Sidwell Friends School and in 1977 was being used as an administrative building.
Conducted an exchange brokerage on the north side of Pennsylvania Ave. between Sixth and Seventh Streets.
