Notes for Joseph TOWNSEND
Joseph Townsend of East Bradford. 5/18/1765. September 22, 1766. Provides for wife Martha including plantation whereon I lately dwelt in East Bradford containing about 185 acres and all personal estate during life, she to maintain my son William during her life. After her decease the plantation to son John except 64 acres he paying £12 yearly to my son William. To daughter Mary Woodward and her husband Henry 32 acres of land whereon they now dwell during their lives, after their death to their son Henry. To daughter Hannah Ryant 32 acres of land adjoining the above. To son Joseph deceased estate his bond for £100. Remainder divided. Executors: Wife Martha and son John. Letters to John, the other renouncing. Witnesses: Phineas Eachus, Alexander Forman, David Ferris.
