Betsy Carol Sadey Matuson, 55, of Venice died April 8, 2009.
A memorial gathering will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel.
Survivors include her daughter, Amanda Forbes Masterjohn of Orlando; sisters Jayne Stickney of Venice and Judy Roth of Port Charlotte; and a brother, Rick Sadey of Englewood.
Betsy was born in Abington, Pa., and had been a lifelong resident of Venice. She worked as a rental administrator for Bird Bay Realty and worked for more than 20 years at A Pet's Friend Animal Hospital as a veterinary technician. Betsy was a animal lover and was considered an "animal angel" by all who knew her.
