John VICKERS, of Lionville helped with the "Underground Railroad" by hiding slaves in his pottery kiln and piles of cord wood close by. His sister, Martha, married William MILHOUS in 1807, and they were the gr-gr-grandparents of Hannah Milhous NIXON, mother of our late former President NIXON.
