Notes for John MARSHALL
John Marshall was born the third child of Abraham and Mary Hunt Marshall. He was born on November 7, 1707 in West Bradford twp., Chester Co., Pa.. He married Hannah, the daughter of Vincent and Betty Peirce Caldwell. She was born on December 12, 1711. They were married on either October or December 5, 1733. John built his home somewhere between West Chester and Chadds Ford in 1737. There was an addition built on to the house in 1771, and It was still standing in 1951. The house was close to where the "Revolutionary War, Battle of the Brandywine", was fought, although John and Hannah had died along time prior to that. It was said that General Washington used their living room and equipment for headquarters during some of the battle.
John and Hannah had eight children. John died October 1750. I don't have a date for Hannah's death.
