Notes for Donald Hoy LEATHEM
Donald Hoy Leathem passed away at Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne, FL on September 21, 2013 after a brave struggle with heart disease.
Don was born on August 17, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA. He served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1946, and was stationed on the USS Brooklyn. He graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Don enjoyed a successful and productive career with Shell Oil, living and working in many states.
He is survived by his bride of 65 years, Doris Hudome Leathem; one son, Den and his wife Barbara of Marianna, FL, daughter Dale Laird and her Mike of Montrose, CO. He is also survived by granddaughter Leslie Laird of Wray CO, his brother Douglas Leathem of LaPorte, IN, Aunt Clara Barton D'Orsay of Boston, MA, 105 years old, many nieces and nephews and a host of longtime friends.
