Notes for Florence Elizabeth CONNELL

CONNELL, FLORENCE ELIZABETH, (SNYDER), 89 - on Monday, February 2, 2004, Florence went home to the Lord. Born in Philadelphia, Pa. on December 30, 1914, she moved to Wildwood where she was a resident for 28 years. She traveled frequently and in addition to Philadelphia and Wildwood, she lived in West New York, New Jersey, Orlando, Florida, Sunnyvale California, and then finally Las Vegas, Nevada. Her strength and will to live is an inspiration to everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Florence (Bunny) Schafer of Somers Point, Elizabeth (Bette) Snyder of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Horatio (Rash) Snyder of Colonial Heights, Virginia. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren; Maryann Schafer, Susan Schafer Walker, Robert Schafer, Michael Schafer, William Snyder, Ernie Snyder, David Snyder, Mary Hishon, Theresa Uzzolinok, Barbara Bradshaw, Patrick Snyder, Jeanette Snyder and Bernadette Snyder. She is also survived by her 15 great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Janine Kakoyannis, Dana Cosentino, Robert Schafer Jr., Arielle and Haleigh Schafer, Kelli and Katie Hishon, Marrissa and Carli Uzzolino, David and Devon Bradshaw, and Rachel, Mara and Emma Snyder.

Florence Elizabeth Snyder, 89, of Las Vegas, died Feb. 2, 2004. She was a retired deputy tax collector for the City of Wildwood. She is survived by her daughters, Bettie of Las Vegas and Florence Schafer of New Jersey; and her son, Horatio of Virginia. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 6, with service to follow, both at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road.
