Notes for Caleb COPE
A plasterer and respected town burgess, moved his family to Lancaster from the family farm in Chester County. The family were members of the Society of Friends, (Quakers).
July 13, 1814, "My father and sister Hannah left us today to take their abode in Burlington, N.J., having removed from Lancaster where he resided for more than 53 years. Not one Friend remains in Lancaster."
