Almon D. Elliott was a son of Senator James Rampley Elliott, born 1813 Baltimore, Maryland; and Maria Davis, born 1818 Ohio. James R. Elliott died 1893 in Clinton Co., Indiana. Maria died 1900 IN. Almon was married twice. The following children were by his second wife, Harriet Murphy: Daughter (name unknown) who married G. Baer; Ray Elliott, born 26 Jan. 1884; daughter who married Joseph Chenowith; daughter who married E.E. Clark of Battleground, Tippecanoe, Indiana.
